Age: 7-years proof Description: A blend of bourbons finished in honey and orange curacao casks. At Artifact, we approach a blending session with no set course. We carefully taste through a vast number of samples, highlighting our favorite components from each specific barrel. For this blend the base barrel displayed a beautiful oak character with a light black pepper note. To balance the mouth feel and aromatics we selected a small portion of our bourbon resting in honey and orange curacao casks. After tasting the individual components we thought this blend would be a welcome dram for the cooler months. The warming oak and spice melds into flavors of citrus and mid-palette sweetness lent from a honey cask finishing.
