This limited edition bottling of AULTMORE 18 Year Old is finished in second-fill Madeira casks. Influenced by succulent exotic fruit aromas and spice, the finish complements the malt’s heady, herbal tones. A burst of freshly mown grass accompanies sun ripened aromas of red cherry and blackberry with a twist of orange peel, caramel and a touch of dried spice to finish.​ As well as being interested in different finishing cask​ types for this collection Stephanie was also intrigued by the impact of second-fill casks versus first-fill casks.​ The second-fill casks which once held Madeira wine and then used for maturing whisky, are used to finish AULTMORE 18 Years Old.
