Chicken Cock Whiskey Double Oak

You can’t have great whiskey without great wood. That is why we aged our 8-year-old whiskey in American oak barrels twice. This process allows us to extract all of the great flavor within the oak to create a robust and delish whiskey to enjoy neat. What’s the point in only doing something once? With our Chicken Cock 8 Year Double Oak Kentucky Straight Whiskey, we didn’t just let this whiskey soak in all the flavors of the oak vessels it aged in once either. Once maturated for 7 years, this whiskey was then aged for a second time in our brand new medium-plus toasted, char level 3 American oak barrels that we harvest and hand select from the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia. Placed in the highest parts of the rickhouse in the sweltering Kentucky heat for an additional year, this whiskey was able to pull amazing flavor and texture.
