Blended Scotch Whisky - LIMITED EDITION Delos follows on from Ultramarine's lavish seascape, taking its name from a Mediterranean island central to Ancient Greek religion. The inspiration for the second release in the Extinct Blends Quartet is Asyla, one of our own lost whiskies. The label art emerges from the meaning of the whisky's name, ‘asyla’ being the plural form of ‘asylum’ – a place of safety, sanctuary or retreat. Our perfect retreat, and the image in our minds while refining this latest creation, was a remote sun-kissed island; after researching island sanctuaries, we discovered Delos. For Delos, we have of course returned to whiskies aged in American oak casks. From there, it is a very different balance.
