Eifel Whisky German Rye Whisky 2021

Eifel Whisky’s 2021 bottling of their German Single Malt Whisky was increased to 300 cases from their standard 200 case bottling. Unfortunately, future releases will return to the 200 case level. Distillation was done in the German tradition: a primary distillation in a column still (including the grist), followed by a second distillation in a small copper pot still. The alcohol content was reduced to 60% before entering casks. The spirit is first aged for at least 2 years in ex-Bordeaux casks and then another 2+ years in 2nd fill Malaga casks and 1st fill German Pinot Noir casks. The whisky is a minimum of 5 years old.
