Floki Icelandic Single Malt Whisky
Unknown
Floki Icelandic Single Malt Whisky is distilled from 100% locally grown Icelandic barley, and aged in Iceland in medium charred casks which previously held the distillery’s Floki Young Malt Whisky. The first single malt whisky produced in Iceland, Floki is produced at Eimverk Distillery, a family owned distillery. The vast majority of the barley used in the distillate is grown on the family’s farm, and no pesticides or fungicides are used on any of the fields. In Iceland, the temperature in the winter drops to 5° F, while it gets as high as 68° F in the Summer. No artificial heating or cooling is used during the aging process. The result is an incredibly light-bodied, yet complex and unique single malt whisky, with notes of plum, vanilla, cinnamon, and toasted barley. Each of their whiskies is produced and sold as a single barrel whisky.
