Age: 13 Years Old About the product: Our Legacy Blends allows us to explore higher age statements, single barrels, and blending well known producers that have been making some of our favorite whiskies for generations. Holt & Capen is our inaugural release under this line extension as a way for us to create more traditional profile bourbon and Rye whiskies. This Holt & Capen Rye was made specifically for Seelbach’s. We took a 13yr old 95/5 Rye from MGP and let it rest in a Marionberry Mead barrel from Zymarium. The result is a deliciously decadent rye perfect for sipping. Tasting Notes: Similar to the Allocated Boysenberry Mead Finished Rye, the nose begins to draw you in immediately, from deep honey to heavy fruits to waves of rich, aged rye. There’s this beautiful, floral-kissed fruit syrup at the front of the sip, immediately moving.
