Age: 5.5 - 6.5 years old proof 31% of the blend – barrels from 2017 Ragged Branch– Charlottesville, VA Nestled in the picturesque countryside of Virginia, the Ragged Branch Distillery has been making world-class estate grown whiskey since 2010. The wheated bourbon we used for this blend was aged for five years in a 53 gallon char No 3 barrel for the first five years of its life and then racked into a char No 4 barrel from Kelvin Cooperage for its remaining years. The result is a robust wheated bourbon with intense barrel spices and earthy but fruity character. Their mashbill of 68% corn, 16% wheat, and 16% malted barley of grains grown on their estate make this one of our most unique bourbon whiskeys in our warehouse. 29% of the blend – barrels from 2018 Journeyman Distillery – Three Oaks, MI Swinging open its doors in 2011, Journeyman.
