Ichiro's Malt & Grain 111 Proof Whisky 2025 Edition

From the addition of a special stock of peated malt, a rarity for this range, to the powerful bottling proof, this whisky packs more punch than probably any other whisky bottled in Japan at this price point. Add to it the pedigreed source, the inclusion of rare Chichibu whiskies and the fact that the age range stretches from 4-17yrs on average, it's hard to imagine where you are going to find more drop for drop. We recommend adding some drops of good quality water and giving this dram some time to open up. You'll find serious but gorgeous notes of candied orange, grilled pineapple, sea salt caramels, toasted buckwheat, gingerbread and spiced honey all laced with wisps of smoke. Exceptional.
